My Story
Hello! My name is John Threlfall, an award winning landscape/seascape photographer, an interest I do simply for the love and pleasure of being outdoors.

For me, photography is an escape. I can lose myself in the surroundings of nature, see the unseen and capture those one-off moments. Reading the light, finding the composition, understanding the time of year, weather, tides and spotting the unique opportunities is what draws me to outdoor photography. The majority of my photography is Landscapes and Seascapes on or around the River Ribble estuary on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire, including Lytham, St.Annes, Blackpool, Cleveleys and Preston. I am fortunate enough to live on the door step of this beautiful & ever changing landscape.
I also offer one to one photography tuition for long exposure photography as well as a portrait photography package.

a passion
Background
Originally from Freckleton, a village on the north side of the River Ribble between Blackpool and Preston, I now live in the neighbouring village of Warton. I have always been involved in outdoor activities from an early age and feel most content when out in the countryside, outdoor photography is my passion. A Graphic Designer by day but in the evenings and weekends I love nothing more than to get out with my camera.
