Lytham St.Annes Snow!

During Saturday night and early Sunday morning we actually had some of the proper white stuff! The kind that covers! Very rare around these parts with being coastal, but we had a good covering of snow. Not to miss this rare opportunity I was up and out at 6.30am on Sunday morning trying to get as many photo shots as possible at some favourite local locations. I first headed to Lytham and captured Lytham Windmill and the Jetty (it was still snowing quite hard at the time which made for some creative shots of the snow coming past). The Windmill shots seem to work particularly well in black and white. From Lytham I headed up the coast to St.Annes to capture St.Annes Pier and the old disconnected Jetty. The scene looked like a frozen tundra and the jetty like some old Arctic outpost! I also captured St.Annes Beach Huts in a winter coat.
The key to any snow is getting out early before the masses trample all through it leaving unsightly footprints. A throughly enjoying couple of hours spent in rare conditions.
