St.Annes sunset
A trip just down the road to St.Anne’s beach for some sunset photography. Gorgeous light, silhouettes, shimmering waters and gorgeous orange glows.
The beauty of St.Annes beach is that it is very flat and open with un-obstructing views. On a clear day you can see the the Lake District and Welsh Mountains and only exceptionally clear days even the Isle of Man! St.Annes gets some fantastic sunsets and it makes a great spot for some photography.
Silhouettes
I noticed this couple stood further up the beach watching the sun setting together. They created a fantastic subject, silhouetted against the setting sun.
Part of the joys of getting out with my camera is that you just never know what you are going to come across whilst out. This was an unexpected subject but one that worked really well. Unfortunately I was too far from the couple to track them down (I was using my 600mm telephoto lens), but it would have made a great image for the couple to have.
