I decided to have a trip out to Blackpool front for some photography before sunset.
It was a lovely, calm afternoon. There were some nice reflections on the beach in the pools, one which made for an interesting shot of the famous tower reflecting onto the beach. The moon was also rising in the sky, which I took advantage of for a nice alignment shot of the moon over Blackpool War Memorial.
Blackpool sunsets & starlings.
Blackpool front faces out towards the west and is famous for it’s stunning sunsets. The beach is always a hive of activity and I manage to capture a shot of a couple with the sun bursting through the clouds out over the sea. At this time of year we also get treated to the great spectacle of Starling murmurations. The starlings roost under the piers, but before settling in for the night they put on a stunning show which makes for an interesting subject to photograph.
