Sycamore Gap

Like many landscape photographers I was very sad to hear of the purposely felling of the iconic tree at Sycamore Gap. The last time aI visited this tree was with my family and I caught an image of one of my children playing under the tree. Such a mindless act that has robbed future generations of seeing this beautifully isolated tree. At the very least we have the memories and incredible photos of this tree. I have been amazed by the outpouring of grief and sadness. My timelines on social channels have literally been full and breath taking images – its incredible just how many people have made the journey to see it.
